Home Farm

Finnriver Farms is operated by Jeff Horwath and Janet Aubin at the 33-acre ‘Home Farm,’ 2.5 miles south of the Finnriver Orchard. Janet, Jeff and a small crew of fabulous farmers grow organic fruits and vegetables, and pastured chickens and ducks eggs.

The Home Farm is renowned for its two acres and 10 varieties of organic blueberries, which thrive in the rich valley-bottom soils of the Chimacum Valley. These berries are beloved for their size, sweetness and general tastiness! You can find the widest selection of our produce and eggs by visiting us at the local farmers markets or joining our CSA. We also grow a smaller selection of produce for local stores and restaurants.

Please note: The Home Farm is not open to the public except by appointment and for members of the Berry Club during blueberry season.

Farmers Markets

Finnriver Farms sells produce at the Jefferson County Farmers Markets: Port Townsend Saturday & the Online Market. You can learn more about our local markets here.

What is a CSA? Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between producers and consumers. Eaters purchase share of the harvest; farmers grow you amazing produce and deliver it in a weekly Farm Box throughout the season. It is an investment in a local business, in your health and in your community.

Finnriver Farms' weekly CSA Farmshare Box contains 6 to 8 different crops, reflecting what is in season on the farm. Our CSA boxes are a minimum of 12% below market value to make your food budget go further and include Berry Club Membership. You have the option of adding on an egg share as well as flower bouquets, freshly milled grains and goat dairy from other local farms.

Sample Spring Box: Spinach, Japanese turnips, Baby carrots, Boc Choy, Scallions, & Broccoli shoots

Sample Summer Box: Green beans, Salad mix, Cucumbers, Sweet Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes, & Strawberries

Testimonials

"There is something intrinsically gratifying about eating really good produce. How often in life do we get healthy, delicious, and easy all together. The only surprise is how affordable this is."

"It was hard during the pandemic to ensure we were giving our three children food that would make them healthy. This CSA gave us a safe, socially distant, organic, healthy solution. It was literally a life saver."

"An excellent variety of produce and a good quantity for my small household, I will definitely be continuing to sign up in future years!"

"Our share was perfectly curated each week. We are healthier because of you. THANK YOU!"

Open U-pick, coming in the future...

We planted 2 more acres of blueberries! They will be in production in 2022. We look forward to more u-pick opportunities once this field is bountiful.
