Guest Guidelines

Do you have a group you'd like to bring to Finnriver to enjoy farmcrafted cider, local food and life on the land?  We ask you to please fill out the event reservation form at the bottom of this page.

Here’s what to know about group reservations and hosting your event with us:

  • When you schedule a 'private' event at Finnriver, be aware that this is a dynamic public community space, with lots of people working and visiting the land!
  • Our rental and tour options vary with the seasons and weather. We suggest at least two weeks advance notice for reservations.
  • We keep bees and other animals on the farm. Please do not touch farm animals or their fences, which are often electrified. Ouch!
  • Children are welcome, but must be supervised at all times on the farm— that means an adult in close proximity. Please keep kids’ shoes on their feet. No climbing tractors or fences, not even for photos!
  • We encourage respect for the land and wise use of resources. We ask that groups use reusable table settings and eco/green, recyclable, and/or compostable options for decorations and supplies. Go green!
  • Groups that have made reservations may put up limited decorations in certain locations. We encourage use of re-usable decorations to reduce waste. Please ask us first before putting up any decorations!

We are 'yes' kinds of people but you should know the following restrictions do apply to keep the peace on the land and to support our aspiring business:

  • There is no public Wi-Fi at the Cider Garden.
  • We serve food daily from the Finnriver Kitchen, with seasonal hours-- so please check the food calendar.  On weekends, a range of local food vendors offer an array of options and they can often be contracted to provide food for private parties as well. Your support of our local food vendors helps grow the local food economy! Exceptions: Small snack items for children, food options to address specific allergies, and birthday cakes.
  • No outside alcohol or beverages.  Our winery license does not allow any outside alcohol on the premises.
  • No coolers, pop-up tents, or outside furniture.  Exceptions:  You are welcome to bring picnic blankets to put on the lawn.
  • No smoking or vaping on the farm or cider garden premises.
  • Finnriver is a weapons-free and gun-free farm.
  • No Dogs/Cats/four-legged friends in the Cider Garden, Fields, or Orchard. Pets are allowed only in our on-leash walking yard with their human. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the Pet Area. Exceptions: Service Animals and dogs that are contained (meaning they stay in a pet carrier on a human the entire time they are at the Cider Garden).

PARTNER & ACCOUNT VISITS
If your group represents a market, restaurant or pub that actively carries Finnriver products, we would like to welcome you here for a complementary tasting and discounted tour. Contact us at: cidergarden@finnriverfarm.com to book your visit.

NON-PROFIT & SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS
We want to make Finnriver a great resource for non-profit organizations seeking a location for board retreats, fundraising soirees, community events and more.  Non-profits receive a flexible discount on use of the facility. Contact us to discuss your needs and budget. Thanks for your good work in the world!

SPECIAL INTEREST & POLITICAL EVENTS
We do not endorse political candidates or positions, although we’re passionate about promoting care for the land and community.

Finnriver seeks to offer common ground and welcomes people of all ages from all walks of life. We want our community space to be politically neutral—but we welcome candidates and events that affirm our core values and general principles of social justice, healthy community and environment, and vibrant local economy.

Finnriver rents the facilities for political events at our discretion and such events are charged an event rental fee. We scheduled these events 'after hours' or in the private Hay Barn when possible. We ask for approval of use of our logo for all marketing materials. See advertising guidelines below please. Political rallies may not put up road signs and other signage outside the cider garden or along the road.

Advertising Considerations for Events at Finnriver

We are often approached by non-profit organizations, political action groups and other special interests to host their events and we are happy to rent our facilities for private and public events. However holding an event at Finnriver does not mean we endorse the event and we ask you to be considerate in your marketing and advertising to make clear that the event is being hosted by your organization and held at Finnriver but is not a "Finnriver-sponsored" event. You may state that the event is being held at: Finnriver Orchard & Cider Garden (124 Center Road, Chimacum WA) but we ask you not use our logo on your marketing materials without pre-approval by our event coordinator and to be careful with sponsorship language.

Please send a copy of any printed advertising for your event to farmevents@finnriverfarm.com for review.
